How does Telepsychiatry work?
Telepsychiatry is a psychiatric service similar to an outpatient appointment with a psychiatric provider with the exception of being hosted on a HIPPA compliant video conferencing software instead of a face to face interaction.
Do I have the option of meeting the psychiatric provider in person?
If you can come to the Jacksonville, FL area then yes. We have office hours for in-person visits on Fridays.
What equipment do I need to utilize the telepsychiatric service?
Fast internet, a PC or Mac with a webcam. Less ideally, a smartphone on WiFi. Then go to this link: https://sessions.psychologytoday.com/margaret-curran type your name and join the meeting. Margaret will join at your appointment time.
Do you accept health insurance?
No. We have opted to simplify our practice and pass the savings on to our patients. For those without coverage you will find us to be your cost effective solution.
If you have a high deductible plan or want/need to maintain medical record confidentiality please review our pricing and come to the conclusion that works best for you. In many cases if you have good out of network benefits there may be little to no penalty to see us. You may very well find us to be extremely competitive and eliminate the constraints, limitations and record retention imposed by insurance carriers.
We will provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Always check with your insurance provider first.
What are your rates?
Initial discounted rates for services:
Follow up medication management (in person or telepsychiatry): $110
- If you call during normal business hours with routine questions or to make or cancel an appointment you will not be charged anything. Although, if you call after business hours with a question you will be billed for my time, please refer to crisis policy.
- If you have a medical emergency after business hours you will always be advised to call 911 for immediate treatment.
- We also offer an open schedule which is designed to accommodate immediate needs.
Why don't you accept health insurance?
Telepsychiatric Bridge Services strives to provide the best possible care without the interference of insurance carriers. We want to maintain your privacy as well as provide care based on your needs not that of insurance coverage or opinion.

Do you treat children and adolescents?
Yes, we do treat children and adolescents. Our provider has undergone specialty training and has experience in treating children and adolescents.
